A National School District of Character
(L-R) Superintendent Dr. William Gretzula, Afton Principal Dr. Joseph Masgai, Edgewood Principal Stephanie Hultquist, Makefield Principal Donna McCormick-Miller, and Charles Boehm MS Principal Travis Bloom volunteered to take part in ShopRite of Yardley's Bag for Hunger Day to help raise funds for local food pantries. Pennsbury's Bus Driver of the Year is Thomas McGoldrick! The freshman, JV, and Varsity field hockey teams (over 60 girls) came together to practice as one cohesive unit on September 11th.  The players put flags in the ground near the field in honor of 9/11.  The teams plan on displaying the flags for home games on their respective playing fields in an effort to continue to honor the memory of that day in history and all who continue to serve. Makefield Elementary Principal Donna McCormick-Miller led the school's annual Walk to Remember on Patriot Day. Air Force JROTC cadets and The Falconairs singing group combined efforts to present a special commemorative ceremony on the front lawn of Pennsbury HS to pay tribute to the thousands who died on September 11, 2001. Student leaders hosted activity fair booths to acquaint incoming 9th grade students with club options. PHS biology students did some team-building with the Marshmallow Challenge during the first few days of school. Fallsington Elementary's Student Council members spearheaded the creation of this Buddy Bench for recess times. Three Pennsbury staff members attended the ISTE conference in Philadelphia Nine of this year's 20 Lendo Fellowship recipients gathered for a group photo. Penn Valley Elementary's annual Field Day kicked off with a pep rally in the gym led by the Student Council.
