PRINCIPAL’S CORNER   Dear Parents,                   Our students, staff and PTO have been very busy this Spring.  Our Odyssey of the Mind team really shined when they competed in March.  Our Reading Olympians brought home Blue Ribbons in April.  Our Spring Concert was spectacular. Our Student Council sponsored a collection of donations for “Freedom Fighters – Send A Smile To A Soldier” that filled 50 boxes that were then sent to our soldiers in Afghanistan.  The excitement is building for our 2nd Annual Science Fair on May 16, 2013 from 6:30 to 7:30 PM.  We have almost doubled the number of participants this year.                   Excitement is building for Field Day, which is being held on Friday, May 31st (Rain Date:  June 3, 2013).   Village Park PTO is generously purchasing Field Day t-shirts for every student and staff member.  The PTO is also graciously purchasing one yearbook per family.  Their generosity is amazing.  HATS OFF TO VILLAGE PARK PTO!!                   We are looking forward to our Celebration of the Arts on Wednesday, June 5, 2013.                   As we continue to try to do more things in a day than there are hours in a day, let me take a moment to say thank you for your continued support here at Village Park.   Sincerely,   Helen M.
