Principal’s Corner

Dear Parents,

This time of year is a time of reflection and a time to give thanks. At Village Park, I am thankful for a dedicated and highly qualified staff, for parents that are involved in their children’s education, and for students who come to school happy, responsible, and ready to learn each and everyday.  I am grateful to work in such a great community that holds education to a high esteem and does all it can to support the endeavors of the learning community, staff, and students.

It is also the time of year that many make New Year’s Resolutions.  I recall an article that I read where the author suggested that instead of making a typical resolution to “lose weight,” “eat healthier,” or “exercise” (all good in their own right), he suggested to make a resolution to be “kinder and nicer to self and others.” Wow, what a wonderful world it would be…

Here at Village Park, we work hard academically, behaviorally, and socially.  We remind ourselves everyday that in order to be successful, we need to be at the Right Place, at the Right Time, doing the Right Thing, so that WE can be SUCCESSFUL!. We look forward to a great 2012 and strive to be the KINDEST AND NICEST school we can be to one and all.

Sincerely,

Helen M. Stopper

Principal
