We strive for adherence to these standards – remembering that the best partnerships are those that improve student achievement and are integral to the school’s site plan.

Excellent partnerships are committed to improving the quality of public education. They have broad bases of support and awareness for their activities, and they welcome new ideas and participants.

Excellent partnerships are guided by written, realistic plans which include yearly PPP Action Plan, goal setting, communication, recognition, and evaluation.

To foster the development of 21st century learners, and help prepare our students for the workforce of the future, community and business education partnerships are essential. By growing, strengthening, and aligning partnerships that affect students’ learning, a meaningful partnership must:

• Be integral to student achievement and link into Pennsbury’s standards-based CURRICULUM ;
• Combine real-life work experiences with students’ academic studies to prepare them for satisfying CAREERS ; or
• Provide an opportunity to share a sense of being a responsible citizen through COMMUNITY SERVICE activities.

The best partnerships demonstrate progress toward high priority goals. They evaluate their success primarily on the basis of improvements in student achievement, rather than on programmatic success. They also serve as models for others.
