Oxford Valley Students are Bucket Fillers!!!

HAVE YOU FILLED A BUCKET TODAY???

  The premise of the book is the idea that we all carry an invisible bucket that contains our feelings. When our bucket is full, we feel great. When our bucket is empty, we feel sad. A bucket filler is someone who says or does nice things for other people. Each classroom has a bucket to fill. When a student tells his/her teacher that they have had their own bucket filled with kindness or compliments another drop is placed in the classroom bucket! With ongoing acknowledgements of filled buckets our students are learning how rewarding it is to be considerate of others by expressing kindness and appreciation on a daily basis.
