Neha Gupta '14 Wins International Children's Peace Prize

Neha Gupta, a 2014 graduate of Pennsbury High School, was recently awarded the  2014 International Children's Peace Prize. The award was presented by Desmond Tutu, patron of the Dutch children's rights organization, KidsRights, which sponsors the award program. Neha was recognized for providing aid to 25,000 vulnerable children through her charitable organization, Empower Orphans, and for inspiring her peers worldwide to contribute to creating a better world for children. The tenth anniversary of the International Children's Peace Prize was celebrated in The Hague in the presence of His Majesty King Willem-Alexander, winner of the Nobel Peace Prize 2014 Kailash Satyarthi, and previous winners of the Children's Peace Prize. Neha, who served as a student representative to the Pennsbury School Board for two years prior to graduating from Pennsbury, is currently a first-year Schreyer Honors College Scholar at Penn State.
